Excitement is mounting today as one of our race teams is preparing for their first offshore race of the season aboard Peter Rutter’s legendary Quokka. Philippe and his former ‘Team Puma Logic’ have high expectations of their new pedigree race machine and are raring to go.
Skipper Philippe comments “we are all entering our first offshore race aboard our new yacht with a certain amount of trepidation. We have a new formula, a new team, an unfamiliar yacht and we are hoping that it will work. It is very early days for us and we will learn, adapt and improve as the season progresses. This is a training weekend for us but we will be pushing as hard as ever with a top result always in mind.”
Nerves will clearly be there as the team arrive at Universal marina today. Last year the team won the RORC championships in IRC 1 and given the nature of the sporting mindset of everyone involved we can be rest assured that they will be aiming to improve on their phenomenal success of the previous seasons!
Go Team Quokka, we are all watching your progress with great anticipation!
