Cowes Week 2012
Cowes Week is Europe's Largest and most exciting
Regatta. During the first week of August over 1000 boats, including
many of the fastest race machines in the world, descend on Cowes
for the week to compete for the many prestigious prizes
that are up for grabs. Many of the world's finest sailors including
Olympic medallists, World Champions and Americas Cup crew compete
alongside novices and family sailors.
Cowes Week is a fusion of many exciting elements, with a great
mix of competitive sailing, corporate hospitality and social
activities. In addition to the racing crews, in excess of 100,000
spectators come to watch the sailing, enjoy the parties and live
entertainment and to experience the unique atmosphere.
It is genuinely a one-of-a-kind event - come and see for
yourself!
Sailing Logic are proud to be a part of Cowes Week and can bring
you the opportunity to get involved for the whole week or just a
day with either a hospitality or racing package.

Typical Itinerary
9.30am - Meet for bacon buttie breakfast, followed by a full
safety brief from your dedicated skipper
10.15am - Set sail for the Solent! Cruise around taking in the
atmosphere, watching the drama of yachts fighting for their place
on the start-line.
1.00pm - On board buffet lunch served with a chilled glass of
wine. Continue sailing in the afternoon - watching the races,
taking action photos and spotting the celebrities!
5.00pm - Return to Southampton for afternoon tea and cake before
departing. Alternatively, you can depart in Cowes and soak up the
lively evening atmosphere!

Racing
Package
You and your team can be a part of the action with a day or more
of racing in Cowes Week. Our profressional skippers will show you
the ropes and you'll have a fantastic day competing, before
celebrating your results in the bar in the evening! For best
results, we recommend a training day either the day or weekend
before.

For a single day of racing, the day starts at approx 8.00am from
Southampton/Hamble to ensure you are ready on the start line off
Cowes by 10.30am. You will join the racing action jostling for the
best position on the start line, and experienceing first hand the
high-adrenaline racing that Cowes Week is famous for. Depending on
the day there may be more than one race. After racing is over it's
time to experience the legendary Cowes Week shoreside
hospitality!
For muliple racing days or the full week, we will help you find
shore-side accomodation eith in Cowes or on the mainland. A base
ashore provides an excellent opportunity to host your own evening
social events and to store additional kit to keep the boat
lightweight and competitive.
