Round The Island Race 2017
The Round the Island Race is one of the most popular and exciting fixtures on the Solent racing calendar, regularly attracting over 1,700 boats. Starting on the famous Royal Yacht Squadron line in Cowes, competitors from all over the world race the 60nM circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight.
The race is hugely popular with novices, families, corporate groups and professionals alike, with a number of classes catering for every boat type. Sailing Logic offer a 3-day charter package to include the post-race celebrations on Saturday evening, allowing you the chance to take part in this truly unique regatta.
2017 Itinerary - 30 June -2 July
Friday 30 June - Training Day. Yacht and skipper available from 9.30am for a full day of training.
Saturday 1 July - Round the Island Race Day! The Round the Island Race starts early, so you are usually moored up by early afternoon, with time to watch everyone finish and enjoy the party atmosphere!
Sunday 2 July - Sunday is a day to recover and relax with a gentle cruise back to Hamble.
We can offer full charter support, including arranging your race entry, berthing and catering. For all charters we supply waterproof jackets and trousers, race-ready yacht with a professional skipper and mate.
