Dartmouth
Regatta has it all, staged during the Dartmouth Festival
the regatta has a carnival feel throughout, with superb
racing set against the picturesque green rolling hills of South
Devon with a fantastic fireworks display and Red Arrows flyover to
mark the finale! Along with Cork Week, Dartmouth Regatta is
undoubtedly one of the best regattas there is. An absolute must for
anyone who is looking for a relaxed atmosphere with great
socialising and fantastic racing.
Our teams return to Dartmouth year
after year to enjoy this popular sailing regatta. Sailing
Logic finished 2nd in 2012 (Class 1b) and 3rd and 4th in 2011
(class 2), so we're keen to repeat the success in 2013!
This year we will be entering two yachts. There
will be a training day in Dartmouth on Wednesday 28 August,
followed by 3 fabulous days of inshore regatta racing, comprising
of a mix of windward-leeward courses and coastal races.
You can join the boat in Hamble and do the
delivery to Dartmouth and back, for the opportunity to log some
extra offshore miles at no extra cost. Delivery there will ldepart
from Hamble on the Bank Holiday Monday 26 August afternoon,
arriving Tuesday ready for training on Wednesday. Delivery back
leaves Sunday after racing and returns to Hamble on the Monday.
Our Dartmouth Regatta package provides a great
mix of offshore deliveries and inshore racing whilst enjoying the
carnival atmosphere that is famous at Dartmouth.
The optional deliveries from Hamble to
Dartmouth and back are included in the price and are a
good way to familiarise yourself with the boat, the rest of the
crew and log some extra miles.
After racing in the Dartmouth Regatta why not
try our our bespoke Race Development Course then the Garmin Hamble Winter Series, which
starts in October. If Dartmouth sounds like fun, you might
also enjoy the weekend Tattinger Regatta in July.
