Rolex Fastnet Campaign 2013

Sail the Legendary Rolex Fastnet Race 2013

The Rolex Fastnet Race is the highlight of the Royal Ocean Racing Club's (RORC) calendar.   Taking plave every other year, it has earned the reputation as one of the most demanding offshore races and is widely considered one of the world's classic ocean races.

The 608 mile Rolex Fastnet Race is a real test for skipper and crews with its tricky tidal currents and changeable weather conditions. The race attracts entrants from all around the globe with a diverse entry ranging from the fastest grand prix race yachts to small cruiser racer family boats.

Over the past few years Sailing Logic has enjoyed considerable success at offshore racing. Sailing Logic has won the 'Best School Boat Trophy' in the Fastnet Race for the past four races, as well as acheiving outstanding race results. All this is a testimony to the quality of the tuition and structure of our racing campaigns, which actively encourages new-comers to the sport.

All our teams will train together and combine tactical/training briefings to maximise the facilities and structure we have implemented. Our teams will learn from each other to constructively improve the level of all the teams whilst utilising the diverse and comprehensive experience of our staff.

Our training programme for the Rolex Fastnet Race is second to none, as endorsed by our consistently good results. There will be two training weekends and then four qualifying races which are very much a part of the training process. This far exceeds the minimum requirement of RORC. In total you are likley to cover over 1500nM.

If you want to try offshore racing before committing to the full package, join us for some RORC races. Or if you want a challenge but simply can't wait until 2013, our Round Ireland campaign could be the perfect build-up!

We highly recommend that you complete the RYA Sea Survival training as part of this programme.

We cater for a complete cross section of experience levels and personal requirements. The important thing is that everyone comes with an open mind, loads of enthusiasm, has a desire to do well and possess a great sense of humour.
