Sail the Legendary Rolex Fastnet Race 2017

The Rolex Fastnet Race is the highlight of the Royal Ocean Racing Club's (RORC) calendar.   Taking place every other year, it has earned the reputation as one of the most demanding offshore races and is widely regarded as a must-do race for most sailors.

The 608 mile Rolex Fastnet Race is a real test for skipper and crews with its tricky tidal currents and changeable weather conditions. The race attracts entrants from all around the globe with a diverse entry ranging from the fastest grand prix race yachts to small cruiser racer family boats. If this sounds like a challenge you'd like to take on, join Sailing Logic for a the experience of a lifetime.

Sailing Logic privdes a genuine family-feel on our events. Our shore-support team are on-hand from your first enquiry through to race day - to ensure dietary requirements are catered for, to answer questions or provide advice, on any aspect of your sailing.

We'll personally ensure the boats are race ready, and hand-pick the very best skippers to look after you throughout the campaign.

Our teams race and train together so you benefit from a great race-within-a-race feeling - benchmarking yourself against likeminded individuals on an identical boat!

Our approach has proven to be very succesful, and a Sailing Logic team has won the 'Best School Boat Trophy' in the Fastnet Race in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013 and has just been awarded the RORC 'Sailing School Boat of the Year' trophy for 2016!

The Full Campaign - for competitive racers

If you are looking to throw yourself into a campaign, to get the most you can from the event, to experience the widest range of conditions and race courses our full campaign is for you. Over two training weekends and four qualifying races you will have plenty of time to get to know and gel with your crew and identify what gets the best performance from your team - whether that is shorter spells on the helm, swapping positions, or simply more Mars Bars!

The Compact Campaign - for competitive racers short of time

If you would like to take part in the Fastnet with Sailing Logic but can't commit to the full campaign, this condensed Campaign could be perfect for you.

You benefit from the same level of quality training, impressive new boats, high quality skippers and attentive shore-support but you simply spend less time on the water. You start a month later and cover one training weekend and 3 qualifying races.

Pre-Requisites (for both options)

To get the most out of your Fastnet, previous race experience is preferred but not essential. If you would like to gain some extra pre-race experience, why not consider a place on our Race Development Course or try a RORC race.

If you have never sailed before but would like to take part, please contact us so we can best advise you of the options available.

Whilst we like to have fun, racing offshore is serious business and safety is paramount. We recommend all crew complete RYA Sea Survival training and we will cover the ISAF Offshore Safety course syllabus as part of the programme.
