Race To Win - Advanced Race Training
Race to Win is a truly unique training course aimed at
racing sailors, with lots of experience, possibly already
skippering.
For this 5-day course we recruit the help of industry
specialists such as Team GBR Olympic Coaches
to share with you the same methods and tactics taught to the
Olympic Sailing squad.
The course will include an in-depth look at meterology and
particularly the finer points of wind awareness - looking at
wind oscillation, wind bend and other
micro-factors which can allow you to gain a tactical advantage.
The course also includes a day of helming coaching, including
practising manoeuvres such as ducking. We also use a RIB to gather
off-boat video footage to maximise debrief and feedback
opportunities.
If you are a regular on the racing circuit, but want to
know what it takes to become a race-winning skipper, this course is
for you.
If you race regularly as crew and want to gain a better
appreciation of team-work and how to perfect the various manoeuvres
and get the maximum speed from the sail trim, the Race Development

What is
included?
Mooring fees, training, professional
racing skipper and first mate, accommodation on board (bring a
sleeping bag!), food aboard yacht and loan of wet weather jacket
and trousers.
