ROLEX FASTNET RACE

The Rolex Fastnet Race is not only the highlight of the Royal Ocean Racing Club's (RORC) calendar, it is also one of the most iconic races for all sailors.

Taking place every other year, it has earned the reputation as one of the most demanding offshore races and is widely regarded as a must-do race for most sailors.

The 608 mile Rolex Fastnet Race is a real test for skipper and crews with its tricky tidal currents and changeable weather conditions. The race attracts entrants from all around the globe with a diverse entry ranging from the fastest grand prix race yachts to small cruiser racer family boats. If this sounds like a challenge you'd like to take on, join Sailing Logic for a the experience of a lifetime.

Sailing Logic provides a genuine family-feel on our events. Our shore-support team are on-hand from your first enquiry through to race day. We'll personally ensure the boats are race ready, and hand-pick the very best owners representatives/skippers to look after you throughout the campaign.

Bi-annually we have around 8 teams race and train together so you benefit from a great race-within-a-race feeling - benchmarking yourself against likeminded individuals on an identical boat!

Information

Our approach has proven to be very successful, and a Sailing Logic team has won the 'Best School Boat Trophy' in the Fastnet Race in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and has just been awarded the RORC 'Sailing School Boat of the Year' trophy again for 2017

Pre-Requisites

To get the most out of your Fastnet, previous race experience is preferred but not essential. If you would like to gain some extra pre-race experience, why not consider a place on our Race Development Course or try a RORC race.

Whilst we like to have fun, racing offshore is serious business and safety is paramount. We recommend all crew complete RYA Sea Survival training and we will cover the ISAF Offshore Safety course syllabus as part of the programme.

TESTIMONIALS

I started racing with Sailing Logic two years ago and haven't looked back; The quality of training, skippers and boats make it the best and most professional school I've ever raced with. Head and shoulders above the rest!

Thank-you Sailing Logic for making 2015 one of the best years I have had. The sailing was amazing but the new friends and the feel of being part of one big happy family is priceless.

Innis Wilkinson

Our skipper's example of outstanding seamanship and his nurturing of the team meant we not only had a fabulously enjoyable year but importantly, we could really make the yacht go fast! This is not just sailing, this is Sailing Logic.
