Southampton - Dartmouth
Sailing Logic delivery trips are
an excellent way to gain some good quality offshore
miles. If you have completed your RYA Competent Crew
Course or need extra miles toward your RYA
Yachtmaster then these trips will not only boost your
logged mileage total, but you will learn so much about seamanship,
navigation and life aboard a yacht on a longer passage.
The delivery from Southampton to
Dartmouth and return leg (Dartmouth
-Southampton) is a great 2-day trip. From Southampton
you'll pass the Needles on your way out of the Solent, continue
along the South Coast past Portland Bill and accross Lyme Bay to
the beautiful South Devon coastline and into Dartmouth on the River
Dart.
With the interesting tidal patterns in the
Channel and the choice between a more offshore or inshore route
(depending on the wind conditions), you are guaranteed to
learn a huge amount about offshore sailing whilst gaining
some valuable knowledge from our experienced skippers.
And if you're keen to try some racing - why not
stay with the boat for the fantastic Dartmouth
Regatta!
Please note, all delivery trips are estimated
mileage and duration. Prevailing weather conditions may affect our
plans (so please make flexible travel arrangements), but
that's all part of sailing!
