The RYA Day Skipper course will prepare you to skipper a yacht
for the first time. By the end of the course you should have the
necessary skills to skipper a small yacht in familiar waters during
the day in good conditions. The Day Skipper certificate is normally
the minimum requirement to charter a yacht .
The RYA Day Skipper course will take you through the basic
skippering techniques, always under the watchful eye of the
instructor. You will learn the basics of navigation, pilotage,
anchoring, mooring both on pontoons and buoys and will practice man
over board techniques and recovery.
Before taking the Day Skipper practical course, you should have
already completed the RYA Day Skipper Theory
Course.
Be warned, sailing can become addictive very
quickly!

Format:
In the UK this course is delivered by a training partner.
Join the yacht in Southampton or Gibraltar on Sunday 7pm, ready to
set sail on Monday morning. Stay on board and return about 4pm on
Friday.

person / £485 Gibraltar
What is included:
Staying on board overnight (please
bring a sleeping bag), breakfast and lunch every day plus 3 evening
meals onboard. Tuition from an RYA Instructor, RYA Day Skipper
Certificate. Flghts are not included.
