The Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the radio operator
qualification which authorises the holder to operate a fixed or
handheld VHF fitted with Digital Selective Calling (DSC) on board
any British vessel which is voluntarily fitted with radio
equipment.
If you own a marine radio handheld or fixed set, you are
required by law to hold an operator's licence. Learn the procedures
for operation and gain the qualification on this one-day examined
course, which is also a pre-requisite for the RYA Yachtmaster
Exam.
Format:
Our one-day VHF course is run from our dedicated classroom
in Southampton on a Sunday (10am start)
Cost: £90 per
person + £30 exam fee payable directly to the RYA examiner by
cheque or card.
What is included:
Instructor, class room and use of
teaching materials, light refreshments, RYA VHF Certificate. Free
parking at the marina is also available. Please bring a passport
sized photograph.
