If you are looking for sunshine sailing in warmer climates then our RYA Courses in Gibraltar will be ideal. We have chosen Gibraltar as our Mediterranean location simply because it is tidal, unlike the rest of the Mediterranean. Tides are an important part of the RYA Syllabus and a good understating of them is fundamental in the learning process. Gibraltar is also very assessable from the UK.

Gibraltar offers one of the best locations in Europe for varied cruise destinations combined with the shortest of transfer times from airport to yacht. Even better is that you can sail in the Mediterranean without having to worry about the exchange rate; the currency is English Sterling.

Morocco is only 14 miles away, across the busy Gibraltar Straits, Ceuta being the first port of call. This Spanish owned territory is a busy cosmopolitan town offering a wide range of designer and duty free shops along with a bustling nightlife of clubs bars and tapas. Then there is Cadiz, Tarifa and Marbella to name a few all within easy reach.

We run all the RYA practical courses out of Gibraltar from the RYA Start Yachting Course up to the RYA Yachtmaster. In addition we also run cruising and mile building trips to destinations like Morocco. There is also our annual Mediterranean cruise from Gibraltar to Malta. Chief Instructor

Dave Latham

Dave Latham is an RYA Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor and has been sailing most of his life. For several years Dave has delivered yachts all over the World gaining thousands of miles of experience. He is now committed to passing on his experience to others and is renowned for his patience and professionalism.

With a very relaxed approach to teaching Dave very quickly inspires confidence with everyone who sails with him putting them at ease. Dave has a keen interest in yacht racing and is a regular competitor in the Rolex Middle Sea Race with great results. His culinary skills have become infamous in Gibraltar, which is an added bonus for anyone who sails with him.

The Yachts

Pronavia 38 /> <p class=The Pronavia 38 is the envy of all the sailing schools in Gibraltar. Built in Sweden, it has a modern design with a beautifully hand crafted interior. The hull shape is the same design as our competitive Reflex 38's but the quality of the finish bears no resemblance to the stripped out racing version!

Seawolf, our Pronavia 38 based in Gibraltar, boasts superb sailing performance that is unparalleled by other sailing school yachts. It is easy to sail, very responsive and above all is extremely comfortable, with all the modern equipment that you would expect from a sailing school boat.
