Cowes Week - 31st July – 7th August 2010

Cowes Week is one of Europe's Largest and most exciting Regattas. During the first week of August over 1000 boats, including many of the fastest race machines in the world, descend on Cowes for the week to compete for the many prestigious prizes that are up for grabs. Many of the world's finest sailors including Olympic medallists, World Champions and Americas Cup crew compete alongside novices and family sailors.

Cowes Week is a fusion of many exciting elements, with its great mix of competitive sailing, corporate hospitality and social activities. In addition to the racing crews, in excess of 100,000 spectators come to watch the sailing, enjoy the parties and live entertainment and to experience the unique atmosphere.

It is genuinely a one-of-a-kind event – come and see for yourself!

Typical Itinerary
0930 – Meet for breakfast
1000 – Skippers safety brief and boat familiarisation
1030 – Set sail for the Solent. Cruise around taking in the atmosphere just metres from the action.
1300 – On board buffet lunch served with a chilled glass of wine. Continue sailing in the afternoon – watching the races, taking action photos and spotting the celebrities!
1700 – Return to Southampton for afternoon tea and cake before departing. Alternatively, you can depart in Cowes and soak up the lively evening atmosphere!

Includes: Yacht charter, yacht insurance, professional skipper and mate, breakfast, buffet lunch, on-board refreshments, afternoon tea, loan of wet weather gear.

The day usually starts at approx 08.00 from Southampton to ensure we are ready on the start line in Cowes by 10.30. The day is then spent competing before returning to Southampton or finishing in Cowes to soak up the lively evening atmosphere!
