  • The rules guru ...

Mark Rushall is the rules guru, we employed him prior to our successful 2005 Fireball World Championship campaign to help us focus on key rules issues. The briefing was invaluable and a major factor in how we successfully dealt with the other 176 boats on the start line."
Chips Howarth - Fireball World Champion 2005
  • One of the best ...

I have been sailing with Mark Rushall for the past five years. He is without a doubt one of the best coaches there is. The humour that Mark brings to the briefings make for a captivating and fun session. His knowledge and ability as a coach is outstanding. Not to mention he is a top level racing sailor in his own right with silverware to prove it.

Mark Rushall

Mark Rushall is one of the UK’s leading sailing coaches, a freelance yachting journalist and a talented, highly successful dinghy and keelboat sailor in his own right.

Mark’s career has spanned more than 20 years in the British marine industry, with in depth experience of boat development, spar production, sailmaking and marine retailing.  He has been winning championships since 1975 and, throughout his career, Mark has always helped others to win races.

In 2006 Mark was named RYA Coach of the Year after coaching the RYA Skandia Team GBR Paralympic Sonar Team to two successive World Titles.  In 2007 he launched his widely acclaimed book RYA Tactics.  In between his coaching, writing, professional sailing and other consultancy commitments Mark is currently campaigning an SB3.
