Mile Building & ARC 2019

Mile Building and Cruising

Throughout the year we have many trips around Europe and the South Coast of England that require us to deliver the yachts to the event they are to participate in. These trips are perfect for individuals or groups looking to gain experience and mileage towards their RYA certification or simply just to go for a nice cruise to a destination outside of the Solent.

April/May 2019:

Join Martin on an Oceanis 37 for a South Coast Cruise/Cross Channel Hop 29th April -3rd May £499 p.p (includes, Berthing, Fuel & all food and drink onboard)

For more details on these trips please contact the office and they will advise you of the upcoming trips.

Atlantic Rally for Cruisers -  Nov 2019

Join us to race across the Atlantic Ocean on 'Sidney II', our Grand Soliel 50 skippered by Bob and Tanya.

Sailing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia - 2700nm

The  ARC  fleet of approximately 200 boats will start their Atlantic adventure on Sunday 24th November 2019 and sail to Saint Lucia, spending 18-21 days at sea on the classic trade wind route. You can expect blue water, dolphins, beautiful sunsets, fishing and lots of nights sailing by star light - and a specatular welcome in Rodney by the ARC team.

Our program includes:
Wed 20th - Crew arrive in Las Palmas
Thurs 21st - Crew meet on board to get to know each other, yacht familiarisation and full safety briefing
Fri 22nd - Full day of sail training followed by the ARC Leaving party and fireworks
Sat 23rd - Crew day off. Explore the island, relax, go surfing, enjoy the last hot shower for two weeks! Your skipper and mate will be attending the Skippers Briefing and doing the final provisioning and preparation
Sun 24th - Everyone moves on board, lines slipped and race start at midday. Next stop St Lucia!

'Sidney II' is a well appointed luxury performace cruiser. She has three double cabins and a spacious saloon to sleep eight in total. Her 'U' shaped galley is a great layout for cooking at sea and benefits from a three burner gas oven, fridge and plenty of storage.

£4495 per person

What's included

Yacht, skipper, mate, entry fees, food when sailing, diesel, marina costs and a team top.

Please note there is no on board accommdation before the start in Las Palmas. The boat is (organised) chaos with last minute preparations, food stowage and so on - shoreside accommodation is a much better option. There is lots of accommodation available in the Las Palmas area from hostels to appartments to smart hotels - something for every budget.

Accommodation on board in St Lucia is available for two nights - but you'll probably want to get an air conditioned hotel room by then!
