The Round the Island Race is one of the most exciting yacht races of the year. Approximately 1,200 yachts line up every year to race the 60 mile course around the Isle of Wight. Experiencing that many yachts around you is an amazing spectacle and provides a lasting memory.
This is a definite favourite for many yachtsmen and, provides fierce competition between our fleet of Beneteau First 40’s.

We offer spaces on our yachts for individuals who want to experience the excitement of this annual event. Our fabulous three-day programme offers a very competitive package, providing a wonderful mix of racing, fun and socials.

You will join our Beneteau First 40 yacht on the Friday morning in Hamble for a welcome briefing before a day of training with your race skipper for the weekend. You will concentrate on teamwork and maximising boat speed in preparation for the race.
Both Friday and Saturday nights the yachts will moor in Cowes. After a training day de-brief and checking the latest weather forecast it is time for an early dinner and then to bed, ready for the Round the Island Race which usually starts very early on the Saturday morning. Following an action packed day of racing you will return to Cowes for the obligatory partying! Sunday is a day to chill and relax followed by a cruise back to Hamble.
The Round the Island Race is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the excitement and fun of a major event whilst learning new skills. It is a superb spectacle and one not to be missed. Newcomers to yacht racing are warmly welcomed by Sailing Logic.

I started racing with Sailing Logic two years ago and haven't looked back; The quality of training, skippers and boats make it the best and most professional school I've ever raced with. Head and shoulders above the rest!

Thank-you Sailing Logic for making this one of the best years I have had. The sailing was amazing but the new friends and the feel of being part of one big happy family is priceless.

Our skipper's example of outstanding seamanship and his nurturing of the team meant we not only had a fabulously enjoyable year but importantly, we could really make the yacht go fast! This is not just sailing, this is Sailing Logic.
